Great Vessels – How to Easily Obtain the RVOT

• The RVOT is almost exactly in line with a mid-sagital view of the thoracic spine.
  • Most people feel comfortable with the plan to obtain this, so go for it and easily get your RVOT
• The other option is that if you’ve obtained the LVOT, the RVOT should be exactly 90 degrees orthogonal

If you are interpretting scans, just remember that you don’t have to wait for that image labelled “RVOT”

• You will frequently see this well or at least catch glimpses on you spine or facial profile views
